Some good updates this month.
I’ve been working hard on my Sci-Fi novel (working title is now Those Left Behind). My goal is to have a copy ready for Beta readers by the fall and I am in the middle of its second draft.
The Afghan Memoir is still in the middle of the second draft. Once my beta copy for Those Left Behind releases, I’ll be focusing efforts on the memoir again.
With that said, once October rolls around, I’ll be starting school again. This will limit my writing time which is why I’m focusing on cranking out the novel first. This will also affect my sports writing (which I’ve included a blurb about that at the bottom).

Sports Updates
Since I’ll be starting my MBA this fall, I won’t have the bandwidth to write about sports. It sucks because I’ve been given a couple of cool opportunities through On Tap Sports Net and Second City Hockey to cover the Blackhawks, but if I’m being real here, that’s not happening while going to school and working full-time.
I’ll be revisiting writing about sports after my MBA is up (hopefully in two years). I might throw in the occasional piece on the blog, but I won’t be focusing on the Hawks like I have been the past couple years.
